One of the keys to effective recessed lighting is glare control. The steps or groves of a baffle absorb stray light to reduce glare and minimize ceiling brightness. The crisp lines and classic look of the baffle have made it the most popular of all recessed trims. The baffle is offered in white or black with a wide flange to presents a smaller aperture at the ceiling line.
